Our number 1 selling product! We have provided a lot of details below. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Our Hi-Lift Jack Covers are a must have accessory! Originally known as Jackcovers.com, our patented Hi-Lift Jack Covers are built with uncompromising durability for years of protection and are designed to stand up to even the most demanding and rugged environments. Are you tired of your neoprene jack cover fading and falling apart? Are you tired of your jack cover wearing out with holes, and the seams coming apart? Other jack covers on the market are designed to fail, so you get stuck buying the same product over and over again. Our Jack Covers help keep your jack lubricated and rust free, as well as free of dirt and grime, so when you need to use your jack it will actually work. We all know how dangerous a Hi-Lift jack can be. A dirty, dry, rusted, and non-lubricated jack is even more dangerous.... even deadly. Don't get caught in the middle of nowhere with a dry and rusty jack that doesn't work. STEP 22 Gear produces the highest quality protective Jack Covers available anywhere. Scroll down for more info and to learn how to select the right size cover for your jack.
When determining which size cover is best for you it does NOT matter what size jack you have; what matters is how you mount your jack. We have also provided some images below to help you determine which size is best for you.
Jack Covers are available in two standard lengths - 11" and 15" (these are the lengths of the zippers). The best length cover for your jack depends on the type of mounts you use, which jack bar holes your mounts use, and the placement of your running gear (parts of the jack the cover protects). Minor adjustments to your jack mounting setup (when possible) can allow for use of the longer cover if desired. For reference, our 11" cover is 1 hole shorter than the Hi-Lift branded neoprene cover.
The 11" version will cover 2-2.5 holes above the running gear and the 15" version will cover 8-8.5 holes above the running gear. Both sizes cover the 3 holes below the running gear. Just determine which holes on your jack bar you need for any mounting bolts and select the cover that will allow you to still have access to those holes
If you still are not sure which size is right for you feel free to contact us for some help. We don't bite!
NOTE: The best position for a horizontally mounted jack is with the nose facing up whenever possible. This allows the Jack Cover to do the best job of keeping your jack clean and dry. When possible, avoid mounting your jack/cover with the "nose" of the running gear facing down. As the zipper and zipper tape are not waterproof, some water can get past them and into the cover. Although the cover does still keep out dirt and grime when mounted nose down, it is not the most ideal position for mounting. Because some mounting situations require the jack to have the nose facing down, all of our covers are made with a grommet in the nose section to allow for water draining during extreme storms and deep water crossings. The grommet is just large enough for water to drain out when mounted nose down, but not so large that is lets much water in when mounted nose up.
